About John

As a young boy, I grew up in New England, spending summers exploring the forest surrounding my house. Climbing trees, catching frogs at the brook, and exploring a favorite hangout, a tree laden cliff, were some of my favorite pastimes. It seemed like one could see for miles from the top of that crag.

In the mid sixties, one morning, after awakening from a boyhood dream of a guitar.. my mother called to me from the kitchen, asking if I'd like to start taking lessons. I immediately recognized the hand of divine providence, opening up my consciousness to many questions. Then, in Jr High, after having taken lessons for several years, I joined up with other fellow musicians, also young at heart and age. It was a formative chapter of my life, planting seeds within, helping me to further mature music appreciation. In time, I gained understanding of the Blues Scale, enabling me to imitate some of my musical heroes on the radio.

Years later, I discovered a spiritual path called ECKANKAR, providing answers to long held questions, allowing me the insight and revelation that I have always been a recipient of God's Love and Guidance.

Shortly thereafter, I went to work for a local phone company, which turned into a 30 year career. Progressing through various roles of service, I moved from telephone operator to consumer installer/repairman where days were spent climbing telephone poles & running cables.

Moving on to the business segment happened in time. The wonder and adventure of the present moment was never lost to me, marveling at my good fortune. Yet throughout these things, my guitar was always close at hand.

Now, retired from this livelihood, I am free to fully explore the study of musical performance, finding there are many ways to be of service in life, especially when pursuing that which your heart yearns for.
